Submission Requirements -
If we are designing your piece, you will need to provide us with the artwork, logos and copy that you want used. The print quality of your postcard or other print piece says a lot about your company and the purpose of our art requirements is to ensure your piece looks highly professional and will create a big effect on your prospects. Please review the submission requirements below and the options for getting your materials to us:
Logos and Artwork
Digital Files
- Artwork must be at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi in desired size to be printed.
- We accept the following digital file formats:
- Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
- Adobe Photoshop (.psd)
- JPEG image file (.jpg)
- TIFF image file (.tiff)
- EPS file (.eps)
- Files must be saved in CMYK format
WARNING: Artwork pulled from a website or the internet is NOT sufficient quality. The standard for the web is 72 dpi. For print work, this will come out really fuzzy and poor looking. If you don't already have it, ask the designer who did the work for a print-quality file (300-350 dpi) in one of the above formats.
Original Art
If you don't have digital files of your art, all you need to provide are clear and good quality pieces of the original photograph or art and we can scan them for you. If you have slides or transparencies, there will be an additional charge as we must do a high-quality drum scan of these. Unfortunately, we cannot accept regular negatives. If negatives are all you have, just get them printed at a good photo lab and we will scan the prints.
Stock Art
We keep a library of stock art here at BOOM! and we will do our best to provide you with an image. There are also a number of websites online where you can review and purchase art for yourself. Some of them are listed below. Remember that you are looking for "print-quality" art (300-350 dpi.) so make sure you get the right file. Also, we recommend you buy royalty free art so you can use it again and again without paying more.

Digital Cameras
The quality of today's digital cameras keeps getting better and better, so if you have photographs from a recent model digital camera, we may be able to use it on your piece. Just make sure that you put the quality setting and the image size to their highest settings.
Copy
We can accept your copy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and most other word processing software. We will cut and paste it into our design software from there.
How to Get It Here
Your artwork can be emailed, mailed or uploaded directly to us. Please send your copy via email. Upload your digital files by going to our upload page here. If you email art, either zip or stuff the file so that it will transmit faster and be sure to put your company name in the subject line so we know who it belongs to. If you have a dialup internet connection, we recommend you just mail them directly because it will save time. Select just the files required and them on a CD or Zip disc. Be sure to label them clearly with your company name and send them to the attention of our Design Dept.
